BE100 - C halt immobility 4 seconds, Proceed in medium walk
This movement tests whether the horse is listening to your aids.
The aim is for the horse to halt square at C and stand still for 4 seconds.
To achieve this you need to use the previous corner to set the horse up and ask it to wait (half halt) so that it is able to step under behind into the halt.
You need an even contact and even weight in your stirrups and sit tall into the halt.
Always keep your legs on.
Move off in a positive medium walk.
As you can see this horse got tense on the long side and became unbalanced, I managed to settle him before the corner which was important to ride the halt correctly.
