Examples of common positional mistakes - Uneven weight in stirrups
If your weight is uneven on your horse you will prevent it from being able to move in a rhythm
It will probably cause the saddle to slip to one side which may cause pain in the horse’s back
It may prevent even muscle development and top line on the horse.
As a rider you will collapse to one side
If this is done for a long period of time your muscles will develop unevenly and you may become lopsided in your posture
You should sit tall in the centre of the saddle, keep your weight even in your stirrups and relax through your shoulders.
There should be an invisible line from your shoulders through to your hips and heels.
