Novice - Enter at A in working trot X halt salute

This is the judges first impression so it needs to be a good one.

In This video there are a couple of mistakes that need to be avoided.

Your entry should be straight down the centre line without weaving.

Look straight beyond the judges car as this will help to keep balance.

Make sure your trot is active and positive and that the horse steps into the trot from behind to get a square halt.

As you can see this did not happen and the horse stepped out which then caused him to weave down the rest of the centre line.

This movement does need lots of practice and can be done on ¾ lines, diagonals and short lines to keep variety.
