Novice - KXM Change the rein, some medium Trot

This movement demonstrates the balance of the horse and their ability to lengthen their stride and frame keeping the quality and rhythm of the trot and maintaining their balance.

The remainder of the movement demonstrates the horses ability to come back to working canter and maintain their balance into the halt and salute.

It is important for the rider to maintain equal contact and equal weight in the stirrups and not sit heavily and drive the horse.

Allow the horse to engage it’s core as it’s hind legs come through.

In this video the horse performs the medium trot well, if being very critical he could come under a little more from behind.

He comes back into working trot well but his strides are a little big on the turn to G therefore causing him to be slightly unbalanced into the halt.

A half halt before the turns would have helped.
