BE100 - E half 10m circle to X, working trot to G, G halt and salute
This is demonstrated on both reins - as you can see this horse finds it easier on the right rein.
He is not as supple on the left so finds it hard to keep stepping through the turn so shortens his rhythm.
You are looking for your horse to be active from behind throughout the movement.
Before you get to E you should balance your horse, ride them into a smaller active trot and ask them to bend around your inside leg, with a slight inside flexion.
Make your turn and don’t lose your outside shoulder, keep equal contact and leg to rein.
The half circle should be 5 metres from the B to E line at it’s curving point. When you come to G to Halt and salute sit tall and keep your legs on into the halt.
