XC - Brush Fences
Brush fences are no different from any other so should be respected as much as any other fence.
If you do not respect them accidents can happen!
Some horses may over jump them as they don’t like the brush touching their tummy.
Other horses may not respect them and jump through the brush and therefore could leave a leg.
If your horse over jumps then maybe take it for hacks through long grass so it gets used to things touching it’s tummy.
If it jumps through then train them on single combinations to jump correctly - only practice will sort this.
If you are jumping a brush arrow head then ensure you have good leg to rein contact and look straight through the fence not at the narrow bottom.
